The Bruce Anchor is crafted to dig into the seabed, offering a dependable hold to keep ships or structures in position. It has a claw - like design with sharp elements.
Its design is similar to a plow, enabling the anchor fluke to easily dig into the seabed composed of sand, silt, and mud. This makes it suitable for different types of seabeds. The flukes are linked to a shank, which is then connected to a stock.
The stock assists the anchor in aligning with the applied load and ensures that it sets properly.
