The D type End Joining Shackle, commonly called the 'D' Type Anchor Shackles (Lugged), Lugged Joining Shackle, and D Joining Shackle.

This D type End Joining Shackle, featuring an oval pin, serves as a critical component to connect the anchor's crown shackle to the chain's swivel forerunner. Constructed from alloy steel with black paint or hot-dip galvanization (H.D.G.) finishing, it spans nominal diameters of 11mm to 162mm in Grades 2 and 3, with custom specifications available. As an essential assembly unit in anchor chains, it links the swivel ring set to the anchor shackle.

The Type D End Shackle is designed to connect anchor cables to both the anchor and chain fastening devices. Its oval cross-section pin—fixed in an unloading position by a positioning pin—enhances strength, making it suitable for demanding marine applications.
