Made of hardened carbon steel with a smooth, polished finish.
Marlin Spikes are used in opening and separating strands of wire rope for splicing.
This marlin spike has an oval, wedge shaped point and a crown or flat head with beveled edges. It has a smooth edged eye near the head that allows for hanging from a lanyard.
